Good News: One Gold and One Silver Medal! Our Students Achieved Excellent Results in the Ship Transportation Track Competition of 2025 World Vocational College Skills Competition

On August 25th, the Ship Transportation Track Competition of 2025 World Vocational College Skills Competition (Vocational Group, hereinafter referred to as the World College Competition) successfully concluded at Wuhan Ship Vocational and Technical College. 64 teams from vocational colleges across the country engaged in a fierce and exciting competition. The two participating teams selected by our college stood out with steady performance and ultimately won the one gold and one silver award!

 

The participating team, led by teachers Du Xunbai and Wei Wei from the School of Shipbuilding and Intelligent Manufacturing, and composed of three students Zhang Shiqi, Yuan Zhenyu, and Dai Mengran, won the gold medal in the competition and successfully advanced to the qualifying stage with solid professional skills, tacit teamwork, and stable on-site performance. This is the first gold award our college has won in the 2025 World College Competition!

 

The participating team, led by teachers Zang Jiming and Tao Si from the School of Navigation Technology, and composed of students Wang Tianshuo, Jiang Wenlong, and Luo Ziyi, also demonstrated extraordinary strength and excellent cooperation in the competition. They persevered and never gave up in the fierce competition, and ultimately won the silver medal in the competition.

 

During the preparation period for the competition, JMI attaches great importance to it and closely collaborates with various departments to provide comprehensive guidance and services for the participating teams, ensuring that they can fully devote themselves to training. Regular simulation competitions are also organized to help the participating teams continuously improve their professional skills and psychological qualities.

 

The achievement of one gold and one silver medal is not only a recognition of the individual efforts of the participating students, but also a manifestation of JMI's professional teaching level and the teamwork spirit of guiding team. In the future, JMI will continue to uphold the concept of promoting teaching and learning through competition, deepen teaching reform, improve the quality of talent cultivation, and cultivate more high-quality technical and skilled talents in ship transportation for society.
